Are You Potentially Facing Your Third Strike? Marley Law Can Come to Your Defense
California’s three-strike law is harsh, to say the least. It is argued that it has little to no effect on the rehabilitation of felons and only contributes to soaring prison populations. Essentially, the more strikes you obtain, the more the penalties increase. Facing your third strike can get you locked up for good which is why you need a defense attorney that will fight for you.
Being commonly considered as a cruel law, the “three-strike and you’re out” rule tends to have an unfair bias towards minorities. If you or a loved one are potentially facing your third strike, a strong defense attorney is required for the case. Marley Law’s Three Strike Defense is imperative to keeping an accused individual from getting maximum sentences. Marley is known for the aggressive, zealous representation of his clients at every stage of the case. For a free consultation, simply fill out a form on our Contact Page or call us at (949) 726-6000.

Example of the Three Strike System’s Unfairness
There is a reason why the duration of prison sentences is predetermined for all crimes, they have been evaluated and agreed that it is a suitable punishment for it. As the saying goes, “the punishment fits the crime,” the exponential increase in sentencing can be argued as exploitative.
For the following example, we’ll use robbery:
First Strike – The convicted gets the determined sentence of 3, 6, or 9 years in prison based on the case.
Second Strike – The convicted felon now receives a punishment of 6, 12, or 18 years in prison, doubling in duration.
Third Strike – Now the individual gets punished with 25 years to life in federal prison.
This is why it is critical that if you are potentially facing your third strike you have the law office of Marley Law on your team. We know how to work the system and try to keep you from getting that second or third strike. You need to call (949) 726-6000 to schedule a free consultation today.
